Description

A rare, pure and radiant oil that will give your dishes the perfect taste!

Discover the exquisite Bastide du Laval oil, an extra virgin olive oil with a protected designation of origin of Provence with an intense flavor, produced in the heart of the Luberon in Provence. It is made mainly from Aglandau olives, which are hand-harvested at the beginning of the season and immediately cold-pressed to preserve all the intensity of their vegetal aromas.

Its strong flavor reveals notes of fresh grass, raw artichoke and fresh almonds. Its spicy throat hit, called pungency, reveals its exceptionally high antioxidant content.

Did you know? The legal acidity of extra virgin olive oil must be less than 0.8%. This Grand Cru Oliviers & Co extra virgin olive oil far exceeds this standard with an exceptionally low value of 0.19%. Our quality and traceability requirements guarantee a fresher and more aromatic olive oil with preserved nutritional values. The polyphenol content at bottling is 483 mg/kg.

Gourmet combinations

This intense olive oil will add an herbal flavor and light spiciness to a creamy chestnut or pumpkin soup, balancing the softness of the vegetables while highlighting the richness of the soup.

Combined with zucchini and tomato crumble, its strong flavor and light spiciness create a delicious contrast with the softness of the vegetables and enrich the dish without overpowering it.

In salmon steak tartare, its subtle bitterness and freshness will highlight the tenderness of the raw fish while creating a pleasant contrast with the delicate texture of the salmon.

In a lentil salad, the intensity of the oil will highlight the earthy flavor of the lentils, while its herbal and almond notes create a beautiful balance with the crunchiness of the vegetables.

For grilled peppers, the oil will highlight the depth of the smoky flavor, and its raw artichoke notes will add a freshness that pairs perfectly with the tenderness of the peppers.

Finally, for marinated anchovies, olive oil will add depth to the salty flavor of the anchovies, its spiciness perfectly balancing their intensity while bringing in fresh vegetal notes.

Léo Coupat, guardian of excellent know-how
Since his youth, Léo Coupat has nurtured a deep passion for olive trees and olive oil. As the heir to a line of dedicated producers, he took over the family estate in 2020, the result of years of meticulous work and demanding requirements, with the ambition to express all the richness of each harvest.

His visionary parents designed a custom oil mill that allows them to control every stage of production – from tree to bottle – in a constant pursuit of perfection. Thanks to these demanding requirements, the estate has won numerous awards, including several gold medals at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris since 2010.

Today, Léo, an official taster for the International Olive Committee, continues this tradition, producing exceptional olive oils that meet strict specifications guaranteeing quality, traceability and authenticity. The PDO Provence relies on emblematic varieties such as Aglandau, Salonenque, Cayon or Bouteillan, which give these oils their distinctive aromatic characteristics.
