Every year in April, the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC), the largest olive oil competition in the world, takes place in New York. This is where everyone who has a flair for the highest quality olive oils gathers.

For ambitious and passionate olive oil producers, the New York competition is the ultimate test of this year's olive oil quality.

Olive oils are evaluated by a panel of 21 leading professional olive oil tasters through blind tasting. They are judged according to a strict technical protocol. And only the best olive oils can win a gold or silver medal if the jury deems them to meet the strictest requirements for taste and quality.
